This past week, I suddenly had a thing with schools. Last Friday, I have been to my high school alumni homecoming (where no one from my batch mates came by the way: good thing I was with my siblings) and just yesterday, I was at Manila Tytana Colleges (MTC) to show support for their campus publication - The Centerpost - which I was formerly part of.
It was MTC's 36th year anniversary, and despite the name change, I saw familiar people of which many the names I already forgotten (the trick: avoid eye contact LOL). One activity which I am truly proud of was The Centerpost's Car Stuffing activity tagged Overload. Overload is on its third year now and it has never failed to bring joy to the entire MDC, now MTC, community. The mechanics of the game was simple, the press people would provide a car, an actual car, and groups of participants would try to squish in as much people as possible inside the said vehicle. Each group is given a time limit of 00:01:30 to get into the car, all doors then will be closed for 10 full seconds and the each participant will be counted as they get off one by one. The two-year Overload record is 26 participants; prize at stake is Php 20,000. If the record is exceeded, the group gets an additional Php 5,000.
Being 'in school' really gives me that certain happiness you wouldn't find in a workplace.
I miss being a student, really.
